Safety & Candle Care

For your safety please use all candles, wax melts and home fragrance products with care. The information listed below allows you to ensure that you are using your products correctly, failure to observe the safety instructions may result in fire hazard or injury.

GENERAL BURNING SAFETY
Always keep the candle in sight and extinguish the candles before leaving a room or going to sleep.
Ensure all candles and melts are on a stable heat resistant surface.
Ensure candles and melts are kept away from furniture, soft furnishings or curtains which are fire hazards.
Keep candles and melts out of the reach of children and pets.
Keep the wax pool on candles free from debris, matches and wick trimmings.
Always burn candles and melts in a well venitilated room, don't burn too many candles at once or burn them in a small room where air circulations is limited.
Never move or touch a burning candle or container when the wax is melting.
Please check all candles in jars before burning. Even though our products are packed with care occasionally damage can occur in transit. If a crack does occur please get in touch with us but don't burn the candle as the heat from the candle could cause the glass to crack further.
Trim all wicks to approx 1/4" each time before buring. Don't burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time.  Failure to trim wick can result in the wick becoming too long which can affect the overall burn of the candle.

EXTINGUISHING
Always use a snuffer to extinguish a candle. NEVER extinguish candles with water.

DON’T BURN A CANDLE ALL THE WAY DOWN
Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the bottom of the holder or container.  Discontinue burning a candle ½ inch of wax remains in a container. Once the candle gets this stage there is not enough wax to absorb the heat, ensure you dispose of the candle. This can cause your flame to heat the glass directly, which could, in turn, cause the glass to break.

PRODUCT APPEARANCE
Due to all of our candles being hand-poured each product is unique and its possible for them to differ slightly. Sometimes the candle wax may not completely adhere to the sides of the jar, this will be seen as a slightly darker spot on the side of the candle but don’t worry, this doesn’t affect the candle or the burning at all.

WAX MELTS
The wax melt products each have their own instructions and burning information on the listing, Please refer to this to see instructions on how to use and how to get the most out of your wax melts.

When not using your candles store them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. If candles are kept in sunlight they may discolour.
